WAYNE — Wayne scored two second-half touchdowns and held off a fourth-quarter comeback to beat Grafton 14-7 on Saturday in the Class AA semifinals.
Third-ranked Wayne (11-2) will play Tolsia (11-2) on Friday in the state championship game in Wheeling.
Justin Gilkerson scored on a three-yard run to cap Wayne’s first possession of the second half. Justin Followay scored on a 43-yard run with 8:04 left in the game.
Grafton responded with a 14-play, 80-yard drive leading to a touchdown run by fullback Jarod Shaw with 4:17 left.

MARTINSBURG — Zach Newhouse rushed for 122 yards and four touchdowns to lead Martinsburg to a blowout victory against visiting Fairmont Senior in the Class AAA semifinals.
Martinsburg also got a 167-yard rushing performance from Marcus Scott and touchdowns by Dustin Peters on a 6-yard run and a 22-yard Cameron Shelton reception. Overall, Martinsburg racked up 440 yards rushing.
With the victory, Martinsburg advances to the Class AAA finals at noon Saturday against Parkersburg.
The shutout ended a nine-game winning streak for Fairmont, which was shut out for the first time since 2003. Fairmont was held to 111 yards on the ground and 138 passing.
