Super Six set for Wheeling Island championships

The final two invitations were handed out Saturday for the West Virginia "Super Six" football championships.
Martinsburg and Wayne claimed the final invitations to Wheeling Island stadium on Saturday, finalizing the field for West Virginia's "Super Six" football championships.
In Class AAA, Martinsburg laid claim to an invite with a blowout victory over Fairmont Senior, 40-0, while Wayne held off Grafton for a 14-7 win in Class AA action earning their summons to appear at the Island.
Once beaten Martinsburg will take on undefeated Parkersburg on Saturday afternoon in the Class AAA championship game. Parkersburg won their semi-final contest over two-time defending state champion Morgantown by a 42-14 score.
Wayne will play Tolsia in the Class AA title bout Friday night, setting up a rematch from an earlier game this season that Tolsia won at home, 30-19. Tolsia earned their right to participate this past Friday night with an upset win over top seeded James Monroe, 7-6.
In Class A, Williamstown and Wheeling Central will square off in a rematch of last year's title game. Both teams finished the season undefeated and will square off on Saturday night. Wheeling Central defeated Greenbrier West, 57-22, to gain their bid while Williamstown defeated previously unbeaten Mount Hope, 21-6, to advance into the title game.
